Blessings to you and those you love in Christ,

The month of June is always special to me for it is one time a year that we honor our fathers.  My dad was a very special person at home and at work.  He was well respected in Stow and surrounding cities for 28 years as the Electrical Inspector.  He left his mark by being a great father and role model.  And too, he will always be remembered as a gentleman who treated all people as equals.  He treated them with respect and was always willing to turn a cheek, so as not to become part of a problem or confrontation.

My dad, like yours, I pray, taught my three sisters and me that we would have a choice in life.  He said in his own way that when being confronted with  Goliath-sized  problems, that we could either respond saying that the problem was too big to hit, or like David in the Old Testament felt, that these giant problems–  like Goliath–were too big to miss.

Yes, in life you and I will find many Goliath size problems, and it is time to begin understanding that God the Father is bigger than any problem set before us.  In “God’s Little Instruction Book” it is written that the only fool bigger than the person who knows it all is the person who argues with him.

Paul writes in Second Corinthians 6 that it is Jesus who reminds us that HE WILL BE A FATHER TO YOU AND TO ME, AND THAT WE WILL BE HIS SONS AND DAUGHTERS.  Now is the time to proclaim ourselves as “Children of God” and reference HIM as OUR FATHER, WHO ART IN HEAVEN.

Blessings to each of you,

Greetings and God’s Love to you and those you love,

Because of a lady who sits in the back row each Sunday for my  four years with you, I have referred to calling our church, “God’s House. ”  We have shared, and the honor continues, in calling The Community Church of Stow our home.

In Psalm 90:1 , we learn in hearing the words, “Lord, Thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.”

Life is truly different in the many houses, homes and churches that we visit.  An example is the house of CEO Bill Gates.  In his new home, you will receive an electronic pin to clip to your clothing.  The pin identifies who and where you are and is programmed with your interests and taste, as the article explained.

He explained that when you walk from room to room, the house adapts to your likes and dislikes.  The temperature changes to your needs of comfort and the music that you have chosen will follow you with each step.  Digital images that you want to see on each wall will appear and vanish as you leave.  Yes it may be a great house, but Jesus Christ Our Lord, has given us a GREAT HOME to share His love;  a place for fellowship and meditation.

In our newly remodeled parlor is a picture of  stained glass   with  the words “HOME SWEET HOME.”  In God’s House, there is  NO NEED  for you to put on a Bill Gates pin.  But when you enter here in  God’s House, you will receive God’s Love .  It is a gift of love  that identifies you as one of His; programmed in helping your dislikes become God centered likes and a love that will never  vanish.  Christ is forever and yes YOU can come and Worship, knowing that His Home is given so that we can share His love together.

May there be a lasting peace in your homes.  May God’s LOVE be shared.

Blessings to each of you.

In the service of serving God’s people,

In reading a story by Thomas D. Lea about a movie projector, I changed a few paragraphs and wanted to share my story with you:

It has now been eight months since I lost, or misplaced, the BIBLE that I have been using and referencing since  my early ministry in 1965.  It was perfect because the pages were written for me and they worked.  (I hope you feel that way about your Bibles!) The only problem is that for many years, I didn’t use it.  When I tried to do things on my own, the message was totally clear–without Christ and without His Word,  I WAS LOST.

In the late ‘70’s, I took another look at that black bound leather “BOOK” and found a note in it that read:  Before you try it your way, try mine.  Signed, Jesus……

Looking further I found another note that said to read  First John 4: 7-8 and learned right away that “God is Love.”  Then another note that said, go  back to the Old Testament and read First Chronicles 4: 9–10.  This prayer  answers  prayer!!!!!!!

In your Bibles are the words from John 3:16:  For God so loved the world that He gave to us, His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him, would not perish, but have everlasting life. They relate directly to Easter.  For with these words, what was once lost may be found.  It is time to look and find your Bibles again.  Take four minutes a day in scripture and watch how fast Christ finds you. Yes, I was lost and with Christ, I have been found and given a second chance.  I am looking forward to sharing GOD’S LOVE with you, for He HAS RISEN!
