Blessings and God’s Love to each of you,

It’s June.  How do we know that, besides looking at the calendar?  The children are nearly through with the school year and they’re counting the moments until the last day of school.  The mailman has brought many graduation announcements to our mailbox. What a joy it is to see our young people mature and get ready to meet the challenges of the work place, college, military or other demanding, goal-setting futures.

June is also a time for all people to spread their wings and grow.  This is all of us! Our church has made major changes in such a short time.  But, in all things we do, I promise we will do it with a “God First Attitude, “ keeping His Love in the headlines.

Commencement is the word they use for that final ceremony in graduations from high schools and colleges.  But it actually means “the beginning of something.”  Coincidentally, that’s where we are right now.  We, too, are at the beginning of something challenging.  Our church family is embarking on a new venture in hosting a Farmers Market on Saturdays and welcoming our friends and new families to worship on Sunday mornings.  Our church, yours and mine, is reaching out to the community around us in this journey with Christ we are undertaking together.  We know that, with Christ as our Leader, all ventures, all projects, all will bring the Glory of God and will be sanctified by God Himself.

There is a new energy in our church and it is supported by the very presence of the Holy Spirit.  In the Gospel of John, in the 16th Chapter, Jesus said to his disciples,

“It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.”

The Counselor ~the Holy Spirit ~ is here!

Be safe until we share the Good News of Christ Jesus again,

Pastor Jim
